CPC Corporation FC (Chinese: 台灣中油足球隊) was a Taiwanese professional football club which last competed in the Taiwan Football Premier League. It was named after the main sponsor, the CPC Corporation.
History
The team is a founder of the Taiwan Football Challenge League, participating in the league's inaugural season, and winning the 2020 Challenge League title in their first attempt. The next season, now debuting in the first division, they finished at the 6th place, escaping the relegation risk by table position. However, they withdrew in 2022, supposedly due to changes in its internal business strategy.
Il CPC FC (acronimo di Chinese Petroleum Corporation Football Club) è una squadra di calcio con sede a Zhongshan, Taiwan (Repubblica di Cina). Fondata nel 1979, rappresenta la compagnia petrolifera nazionale Chinese Petroleum Corporation.
Il club ha vinto il primo titolo nazionale a Taiwan, la Taiwan Football League, nella stagione 1993-1994. Ha inoltre vinto la CTFA Trophy, la coppa nazionale, nel 1994, 1995, 1996 e 2006.
Il CPC FC ha partecipato alla Coppa AFC per la prima volta nel 2005, e ha raggiunto la fase a gironi nel 2009.
Il CPC FC è stato anche membro del Chinese Taipei Football League (CTFL), la prima lega di calcio professionistica di Taiwan, dal 2017 al 2020. Nella sua ultima stagione in CTFL, il club ha concluso al quarto posto.
Il CPC FC è attualmente membro della Taiwan Football Division 1 League, la seconda divisione del calcio in Taiwan.
